Wicko Lake

Wicko Lake is located northwest of Słupsk in the northern part of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

The area of Wicko Lake is whole located on the area of Protected Landscape Area "Pas Pobrzeża na West od Ustka" with an area of 7,516 ha, which is located in the mesoregion of Wybrzeże Słowińskie.

A geographical, natural and landscape peculiarity is the immediate vicinity of the sea. The area includes a eutrophic zander-type lake with adjacent thickets and peat bogs. Lake Wicko is a coastal lake, and the characteristic of this reservoir is the fact that it is a former sea bay separated from the Baltic Sea by a wooded spit.
